Pier History Talk with Cheese Tasting

In collaboration with the IAM Group please join us at the very unique location of the Hythe Pier for an interesting talk on its histoy by historian Sarah Marsden. This will be followed by a cheese tasting with four cheeses chosen to fit this wonderful location by Jonathan Broomfield.

About the Event
In collaboration with the IAM Group you will start with a lovely ride on the train along the pier where you will be greeted by Jonathan & Sarah at the end of the pier with a complimentary glass of fizz or Shloer if you prefer. You will then be joining Sarah Marsden who will give you an insight into the history of the pier & ferry. Sarah has many years' experience of hosting local talks; walks & events and she will bring to life the pier & ferry for all. Following this there will be a short interlude to allow you time to take in the pier and to sightsee the cruise ships sailing past. This will also be the perfect chance for photos and if you have binoculars to hand to look at Southampton water in detail. The last part of the event will be hosted by Jonathan Broomfield…
